Thanks everyone. I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay:) What are those Karma things that everyone seems to have? Hope this isn't a silly question..

i just read on another board that if your kind and helpful you get a karma point and if your rude you lose a karma point. i cant see the point really, maybe someon else will be able to explain in more detail.

The way I see it, karma points help you to recognise who's being helpful, and who you can ask for advice. Even though perhaps it might not be a fair reflection.

Kim, about the avatars: This took a me a while to figure out, also. I ended up just google-ing "avatars" and I got a couple different websites devoted totally to avatars. Once I found one I liked, I clicked on it and then looked around the page a bit, and I found the URL for it. That's what you paste into that spot on your profile. One of the sites I tried didn't seem to have a url for the avatar I wanted, but I found it on this site: www.avatarist.com/

hmmmm.... Maybe it's too big?? Anything bigger than 100x100 apparently won't work here. If that is the case, then you can either resize it on the website you found it or else in your profile here, right underneath where you put in the url.

Actually, I think I might have used the "avatar direct link." I don't quite remember, but that's worth a try.

Yeah, that took me a couple tires to figure out. Maybe it works on different types of forums or something, but it still seems silly.
I love the one you've chosen. Tigers amaze me.

That's such a lovely thought, that there are still people in this world who want to do something like conservation, which is such a noble cause. I commend you.
