What I am reading at the moment: Harry Potter and the halfblood prince
My recommendation: The neverending story. It's been a while since I read it, but when I did, I loved it! It's nothing like the film, and it's just amazing:D Actually I think I might read it again soon.

Has anyone read Perfume: the story of a murderer by Patrick Suskind. They are making it into a movie and it has Alan Rickman and Dustin Hoffman. I was going to buy it on Amazon but I'm not sure whether I should.
What I'm reading - Abhorsen by Gareth Nix
Recommends - 1984 by George Orwell

At the moment I'm reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel García Márquez. It's quite interesting, and has a great opening line: "Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his fathe took him to discover ice."
I recommend Isabel Allende's books, they're very interesting.

One hundred years of solitude is really good!! I loved it at least:D In class we had to write a short story using the same magic-realistic way as Marquez does in his book. It was awesome:D

I haven't read very much of One Hundred Years of Solitude yet, but I've enjoyed it so far!
I would also recommend Ed McBain's books, if you want a short, well-written detective story. They're about 130 pages, and they just fly by. Very entertaining.

Right now I'm reading Animal Farm by George Orwell because I need to read it for school. It's actually quite good so far. I would highly recomend the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. They amaze me.

I loved Animal Farm, I thought it was fascinating. I also did it in school, and it was my wonderful English teacher's influence that really brought it alive for me.

I am currently re-reading the entire Harry Potter series and Animal Farm (school).
-I love Boxer, even if he is too trusting-
I recommend Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom and Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. Both have different outlooks on Life, I think. Very interesting.

at the monent im reading the first book in the chronicles of thomas covenant, the unbeliever. i think it's called lord fouls bane.
and is recoomend the book 'weaveworld' by clive barker to any fantasy fans, this is what got me into more mature books, and clive barker, who writes many brillaint fantasy books for older audiences, but they arn't hard to read for teenagers, like me. this is full of worlds within world within worlds, and brillaint characters. this blew my mind when i last read it, andi will read it again once i've finished all the books i plan on reading, which is about 8 decently sized books, so it may be a while.
