I know what you mean. Call me crazy, but I can't judge people until I hear their voice, see their gestures...idiosyncrasies, etc. I like to learn from what people say when in a fast-moving conversation, not what they've carefully thought out. It tells you more about a person.

Though for me msn is great, I mean in person i have a stammer so that makes me withdrawn, but on MSN theres no problem with that - Its hard to get me to stop talking. And then also you can be so much more open online, and as a consequence you can have some realy great, deep personal talks with people which i rarely have in person; but then thats just me ^^

I rarely go on AIM at all anymore, but it's mostly because our internet connection, for some reason, just detests it. I mean we have a good connection otherwise, it's fast and all, but when I'm on AIM or MSN I get disconnected every few minutes, and i just don't find it worth it at all to try to talk to people because i simply can't carry on a conversation.

Yeah, I understand that, Kim. It's just a personal preference. I just always seem to get into fights on IM. Maybe it's because I don't feel as inhibited and unable to say the things I feel like saying, but I always make people mad and get mad myself, for whatever reason. The only time I've ever gotten really mad at my best friend was over IM, just because I wrote some things that I would have never said in an actual conversation.

Yeah, I sometimes tend to say things online I usually wouldn't say face to face. It just annoys me because you can't tell how a person means half of what he/she says online.
