my first stab at poetry, so I don't think it's very great... This was written for a friend. Any and all comments are welcome, as always!! You walk down a path Like everyone else You feel so alone in the midst of this crowd
But never forget When you feel you can't stand To walk anymore, just remember the hands
The Hand in your right Fills you with strength The hands at your left, they will stay 'til the end
The troubles you face You feel overwhelmed They build up around you, they're pushing you down
Your friends will be here To comfort your tears And His Arms will enfold you, dispelling your fears
The Arms and the arms Surround you with love You can push on with the warmth of their hug
You've a long life to live Who knows what's ahead? What you will do, who you'll be 'fore the end?
The hearts all around They lift you in prayer All through your life, they will always be there
And His Heart is on fire And guiding above You can ne'er comprehend His unfath'mable love Unfath'mable Love

oh wow Catherine...that was wonderful. it was smooth, and sounded like intelligent poetry, not dumb teenage sappy crap. really, its a great poem. I feel the warmth. there is definitely some warmth there. 8)
I like this line the best
And His Arms will enfold you, dispelling your fears
and I really enjoyed all the 'tills and 'fores and shortened words. They made it seem...comfortably eloquent.
props.

Wow; I absolutely loved it, Catherine. I might as well just right "ditto" after Jane's post. Absolutely wow. Thanks for bringing a smile to my face!
