I just saw it today and really enjoyed it. I would have to say I prefer the first one. As others have said, the second just seemed a bit ostentatious. The acting improved in this one, though.

I had to look up "ostentatious," but yes, that is exactly the word I was searching for. Thanks.

Lol your welcome. So what sort of 'shippers' are everyone? Jack/Elizabeth or Will/Elizabeth or maybe Kraken/Elizabeth?

I'm so for Will/Elizabeth. They were in love from the begining. I think Jack just lusts for Eizabeth. I thought it was so wierd that they would throw Jack in love , it just dosent work at all. He needs to stick with the sea.

I just love Jack! I haven't watched it yet, but have seen the reviews. *pouts* Will and Elizabeth are meant for each other. Jack's only true love is with the sea.

you must see it. i dont know if it was just the people who go to my theather, but the crowd did not seem as into the movie on opening night as other movies i have seen. i mean dressing up as a pirate, cheering during the good parts or when a character showed up. i know my voice was echoing through the theather by itself and only a few of my friends and i dressed up. was it just my crowd or are potc fans just not that into it?

I'm Will/Elizabeth myself. Something else that bothered me with this movie was Jack. It just seemed as if he wasn't as witty this time around. There was something different about his humor, I felt.
Is there a spoiler code somewhere? I'd really like to discuss the end of the movie, but I don't know how to do it.

Didn't you think the Kraken was amazing? There were great special effects. Okay, thanks, A.F Riley. Well, I'm going on a trip so I won't be on this forum for a while. Farewell, everyone.
