just write down your favourite bands/singers and why there the best Khoma: just really powerful music, plus i like bands that mix genres, and khoma do it perfectly - pop, progressive metal and grunge (sort of)= good music porcupine tree: well they're progressive legends, what else can i say? NightWish - as close to beutifu as metal will ever get. a mix of classical, opera-like vocals and heavy guitars and drums, including the odd growl for good measuers-pure genious. Tool- unique and interesting, this is the band that got me into progressive metal. Coheed and Cambria- unique and interesting as well, plus all the albums they've done tell an epic story,c which is just a brilliant idea. snow patrol- the most uplifting band i've heard. Midlake- really relaxing, great to listen to while reading. Deftones- something thats in a whole genre of its own. Korn- the band that got me into metal, plus their great guys. Wilson picket- he's a jazz legend, plus he was amazing live. i saw him at one of his last live performances, RIP im sure theres more, as you can see im into my music. the only types of music i dont like are dance, disco and Post hardcore (or emo as most people call it).

AH! I looovvvee Keith Urban's music. I love all country music, but Keith Urban has (IMO) the most inspirational lyrics and (in other songs, of course) the most fun music. Well, maybe that's not right. I don't know how to say why I like him, I just do. And also I love the band Little Big Town. Also country, all the same reasons.

Elvis Presley- He's a legend. Nowadays, perhaps his music is considered dull, but I think it has so much heart to it. It makes me want to dance.
Josh Groban- There is something so comforting about his voice. Nice and deep...

Ah, subtlecollision, you like Elvis too! Ignore what people today say, they're too annoying to bother with. He will always have a place in my heart. He was the first singer I ever truly discovered and loved.
Also, true rock music from the 60s. The Rolling Stones is my favourite band. I also like The Beatles' later music and Bob Dylan, because they are so important for the progression of time. If you look at the political and social events of the time, they are all reflected in the music - in fact I've done a project on it, and my major matric project will be "How the music of the 1960s, especially Woodstock, influenced anti-Vietnam War feelings."
Opera is also beautiful. My favourite is Maria Callas, for her expression and purity.

Oh, I like The Beatles too. 'Can't Buy Me Love' is one of my favorite songs of theirs... also an entertaining movie, too.
I am also a country fan. I like Johnny Cash, especially 'I Walk the Line' and 'Ring of Fire.' Others include Faith Hill and Tim McGraw as some of my favorites.

Subtlecollision, I think our tastes are quite similar! I love Johnny Cash, he was such an icon to the people of his time. He and June Carter Cash were the loveliest couple. My favourite songs are "Jackson", "One on the right was on the left", and the two you mentioned there.

Oooh, I love the Beatles. My favorite songs are "Blackbird" and "I Will". I really enjoy Dispatch, Nickelcreek, James Taylor, Ben Folds, DMB, OAR, Goo Goo Dolls, and I have recently become interested in Guster and Miles Davis. I love music!

Yeah. There's a lot of variation on their style - some are still mostly screamo, others are softer rock, some are harder but not so screamo, some are moderate.. it's just varied. i really like it. you can tell they've been *really* influenced by the Cure on that album - there's even a line that's almost exactly the same words of a Cure song, but not the same tune. They have a new single out: Love Like Winter. It's one of my favorites on the cd.
