Well, I don't really agree with it, but I really liked it as a book. I love the sort of 'follow the clues' books like that. It was interesting for me to think about how...twisted religion can become if we aren't careful. Characters like Silas and the creepy bishop...they make me evaluate myself and my faith more carefully, wheras characters like Teabing make me think about whether truth or faith is more important. I think it's really interesting.
Did you see the movie?

Yeah, I can't agree with it on many points, but still found it very engrossing. I had the misforutune to see the movie.

Yeah...it didn't quite...capture it, did it? I mean, it's not exactly a 'movie book', you know. It's too complicated to make a really good film. Although I have to say that Silas was definitely creepy enough. Eeessh. I watched it right after A Knight's Tale too, which made it almost creepier.

Silas was cast very well, but Tom Hanks did not play a convincing Langdon for me. I didn't like how they had to make Sophie a descendant of Jesus to make the movie more exciting. Plus, I didn't like the acting too much.
