I don't agree with a lot of Oscar Wilde's philosophy, but he presented it in such a witty and clever way, I can't help but imagine he must have been terribly smart. I really liked this book. The characters are intriguing and the plot likewise. This book really sparked me into thinking about philosophy. Plus, the imagery-- a beautiful world clearly mirroring Wilde's love of aesthetics-- is amazing.

Yup, loved the book also - one of my all-time favourite. It's beautifull written in terms of style and imagery - very visual. The philosphy and the themes that are brought up are also intriguing - human vanity, cruelty, etc. It is a book that is both disturbing, intriguing and thought-provoking.

'Tis on my list of books I need to read. Which is incedentally amazingly long. Ugh. If I had more time...*scowls at teachers and their fixation with assigning busywork*
