[glow=gold,2,300]"But all endings are also beginnings.
We just don't know it at the time."[/glow] This is the quote from the book. It is found on the last lines of the first paragraph. It is so true.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven is a book that reminds people of how things affect one another in so many ways. It challenges us to see things in a different light, view the situation such that you will know why things are done the way they are.
Eddie is the maintenance man at Ruby pier. He has been there since he was young. His father, too, worked there once.
At the start of the book, it is shown that he has three hours to live. As the events unfold, it is shown why Eddie died.
In the course of the book, Eddie will meet five important people, who will show and teach him about things he never knew, never realized.
He begins to see things in a different perspective-the big picture of it all. He realizes that he and most people have been only thinking about the short term effects, and have not thought about how their actions will affect people in the end.
When his learning is complete, he gets ready to get in line to be one of another five people that someone else (Annie/Amy in this case) has influenced, or have been influenced by.
Beginnings are ends, and ends are beginnings.

I've heard of this book, but I've never read it. It sounds like an interesting take on life.

i love this book. it really opened my eyes to the world and how everything does happen for a reason and how everyone is connected no matter how distant people seem. They did a good job with the movie too. they followed the book pretty much the whole way through and they didnt add any hollywood drama.

Oh my god, you managed to watch the movie? I wanted to, but something cropped up and I couldn't! I saw the shots though, and it was so great!

I loved this book when I read it (though that was some time ago) and I was glad when a classmate brought in the movie to watch as part of religion class. I had missed it when it was on TV, though I had really wanted to see it. (PhantomLove and I were in the same class. I think a lot of people in that class were really glad to get a chance to see it.)
