I know this is a classic and many here have probably read it, but for those who haven't, here's my review.
Ten people are sent to Indian Island, a place rumored to be in the possession of a Mr. Owen. The motive for their being sent is for attending a party with the host. However, when they arrive, their host is not there. Each of them has been previously accused of some wrongdoing and are again accused of this there. As many mysterious things happen (among a few murders) one of the most mysterious and unfortunate is that they cannot contact the mainland. It is a story of survival, but in a more sinister and eccentric way than in the 'stranded on an island, must make shelter, gather food etc.' sort of story. Think Gilligan's Island (oh, man, I loved that show) combined with Clue.
******** 8/10

Oh, I loved this book. I'm so bad at figuring out mysteries, so it was a surprise until the very end. I think it's kind of better that way.

This is one of my favourite Agatha Christie books, along with "Appointment with Death", "Endless Night" and "Sad Cypress".
The tension was superbly done, and I was kept in suspense until the last minute.

What's so amazing is that the reader pretty much knows what is going to happen, but it is still suspenseful. I couldn't figure out the culprit either!
