I wasn't sure where to put this thread, but I thought it might be fun to say what we are currently reading So I'll start then, shall I? I just finished The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe, and am about to start the horse and his boy. (would you believe I've never read the chronicles of Narnia before? Shame on me...)

Shame, shame, shame!! I am ashamed of you. Victoria, you shall love them, I promise. Brighitta, you must read them. I shall make you.
Pride & Prjudice. It's lovely and quite eloquent, but slow reading for me, especially now that school's started.

I am reading 'Atonement' by Ian McEwan. There is too much imagery in it for my liking; it doesn't give the reader much room for imagination. It's going to be made into a movie with Keira Knightley and Tom McAvoy (Mr. Tumnus sp?).

Well, you got the spelling right, but Mr. Tumnus was James McAvoy, not Tom. You people, I really must get you all into the Narnian Chronicles. They have so much to give.
At least, with so much imagery, you know the movie will match your idea of the book.

I am re-reading Ella Enchanted, again, and am completely in love. I forgot how good it was. It's one of those books that's just so....yummy. yet, it gets very frustrating, everything she has to go through. I am also going to start/read Half Magic(again), A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver and The Secret Garden. possibly.

Ooops! Sorry. I was thinking Tom because he is playing Tom Lefroy in 'Becoming Jane.'
Oh, I read Ella Enchanted many years ago. Excellent book!

Oh, you must read it! If you are a fan of romances and fairy tales, definitely check it out. Don't even think about seeing the movie first, though. It's terrible.

I've read Ella Enchanted. Enjoyed it - it was nice and light read, unlike some of the heavier stuff I've been reading recently.

Well, yes, it is sort of a kid's book. But it's practically a classic faery tale. It's amazing.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. Re-read it a couple of times, actually - which I don't do often.

I think children's books can sometimes be the most amazing ones. Light and with a magic that you can't really find in heavier books Has anyone read Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon? My friend recommended it and told me it was amazing, but I just didn't like it...
